| DAYCARES AND SCHOOLS Animal Affair offers a wonderful enrichment program to daycares, schools, and libraries via our interactive petting zoo. We offer a menagerie of barnyard baby animals that are hand-raised and socialized with children in mind. They are presented in a safe environment to insure the best possible hands-on experience. Assisted by a qualified animal handler, the children will learn how to properly pick up and handle the animals, as well as other information pertaining to animal education. This is done casually, as we take the lead of the child, recognizing each child as an individual. We pride ourselves on patience as we share our love for animals with them, hoping to develop an already existing love into a time of further discovery. For those who may have not yet had the opportunity for such a discovery, this is a wonderful way in which to expose them. This petting zoo program lends itself to many other opportunities as well, fitting into many different themes being taught, summer reading programs, as a draw to raise money during fund raising events, special school events, or as therapy in special needs situations. We offer our services year round. We can set up the petting zoo inside or out. We require water availability, a trash barrel, and shade when applicable. During the winter months or in the event of in climate weather, we have the ability to take the petting zoo inside. Our animals receive a certificate of health and inoculations from a licensed veterinarian yearly. We are regulated at a federal, city and state level. We are licensed by the USDA. We carry liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance if required. For a list of animals, please refer to the birthday party section. *Check with your city regarding available grant money from the Cultural Arts Council. Money is allotted yearly for such programs. Pricing for daycares and Schools: We offer a discounted program Monday through Friday. 10:00-12:00 and 2:30-4:30 for $300, plus a fuel surcharge of $25. A deposit of $125 is due upon booking (includes fuel surcharge). The balance is due on the day of the event ($200). We do accept business checks. *Sorry, no discounts are offered on the weekends. *This price applies to clients that are located with in a certain radius. * Please contact us for special pricing.
